THE Gordon Institute of Business Science has made some executive appointments. Mahlatse Kabi has been appointed chief financial officer and Lerato Mahlasela executive director, custom programmes.
Before joining Gibs, Kabi held senior positions at Standard Bank, SAB, MultiChoice and the Mineworkers Investment Company.
Mahlasela holds an honours degree in industrial psychology from the University of Johannesburg. GLOBAL information services company Experian has appointed Simon Russell market president for South Africa.
His career in the industry began at Accenture and over 27 years he has led significant transformation programmes for clients across the retail, resources and financial services sectors.
For the past eight years he has been the managing executive of Accenture’s financial services practice in South Africa and Nigeria.
He has also served as director on the Accenture SA board and management executive committee during his tenure. KOLOSA Madikizela has been appointed asset management company Pragma’s first woman MD.
She joined Pragma in 2014 as Cape regional manager and takes over from Attie Nieuwoudt, who will be fulfilling the role of chief operating officer.
Madikizela has extensive experience in facilities management and maintenance strategies, as well as a master’s of technology degree in construction management. She said: “I hope to use my new position as a source of inspiration. As a team, we drive the transformation of the existing engineering fraternity.” AFRICAN Infrastructure Investment Managers, an infrastructure equity investment manager and member of Old Mutual Alternative Investments, has appointed Patrick Kouamé investment director. He will be responsible for transaction origination and business development in the French-speaking African regions.
Kouamé was previously an executive at General Electric. He also held a position as managing partner at Africa Capital Cote d’Ivoire.
AIIM CEO Jurie Swart described Kouamé as a great asset to the team.
