THEMBA Mosai is to become the new CEO of Group Five. He replaces Eric Vemer, who resigned in February after the constructi­on company announced a R2-billion fall in revenue.

Mosai has been with Group Five for more than 13 years and has been an active and strategic member of the executive team since 2014 as head of the group’s developmen­ts business. Before that he was MD of Intertoll Africa, a wholly owned subsidiary of Group Five.

Mosai has an electrical engineerin­g qualificat­ion from the University of the Witwatersr­and, as well as an MBA from Stellenbos­ch University. PAN-African telecoms group Liquid Telecom, a subsidiary of Econet Global, has named Kyle Whitehill as CEO at Neotel.

He will oversee extensive upgrades and expansions to Neotel’s network, enabling more customers to access reliable highspeed connectivi­ty in South Africa.

Whitehill has served as CEO in some of the fastest-growing telecoms markets across the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

He was with Vodafone Group for almost 15 years, where he was most recently the CEO of Vodafone Qatar, overseeing the successful launch of the country’s fastest 4G+ network and helping to significan­tly grow its subscriber base. He also spent three years as CEO of Vodafone Ghana, where he establishe­d the company as a market leader in both fixed-line and enterprise services. THE Hardy Boys advertisin­g agency has appointed Sue Napier its MD.

Napier spent five years at TBWA Hunt/Lascaris, which she left in 2005 to help found Ireland/Davenport, a breakaway boutique agency. It went on to win some big clients, including BMW, Investec, South African Tourism, Vodacom and Plascon.

For the past nine months Napier had been working on the client side as marketing director of the apparel division of MRP.

The Hardy Boys CEO Dale Tomlinson said: “We are really excited that Sue will be joining The Hardy Boys team. As . . . MD, Sue will work with the exec at The Hardy Boys to strengthen the internal and external developmen­t of our client relationsh­ips to ensure that we are responsive, relevant and agile in meeting their demands and expectatio­ns.” WESTCON-Comstor Southern Africa, a value-added technology distributo­r of security, networking, cloud and data centre solutions, has chosen Rakesh Parbhoo to be the new CEO of WestconGro­up South Africa from August 1.

Parbhoo will replace Guy Whitcroft, who has completed his 12-month contract as interim CEO of the company.

The new man has a BCom, majoring in insurance, risk management and informatio­n systems, from the University of the Witwatersr­and. He completed a management developmen­t programme through the Manchester Business School, and was selected for the Global Leadership Developmen­t Programme through the Gordon Institute of Business Science.

He joins the WestconGro­up from Dimension Data.
