‘Bullying death’ clarity

Was a 13-year-old Grade 7 boy who died on Tuesday bullied to death at his East Rand school?

The results of a postmortem, due on Tuesday, will help police to decide what charges to level against other pupils at Noorderlig Gekombineerde Skool in Benoni.

Gauteng community safety MEC Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane said another Grade 7 boy had been suspended.

“What we want to find out is: why did it take so long for the school to act against those who were bullying the children?”
