Poet honoured
After memorial services in Johannesburg this week for poet and political activist William Keorapetse Kgositsile, known as Bra Willie, flags around South Africa will fly at half-mast on Tuesday when Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa delivers the eulogy at a special official funeral. Funeral organiser Mandla Langa said commemorative events would include poetry readings, jazz music and “reflections on society”.
