Altron has appointed Dolores Mashishi group executive of human capital. Mashishi comes to the electronics company after five years as group executive for corporate services at the Development Bank of Southern Africa. She has also worked at Brait SA and Investec. She has an MSc in education from Eastern Illinois University. Ryan Williams, the current CEO of Primedia Unlimited, has been appointed CEO of Ster-Kinekor Theatres, the largest movie exhibitor in Africa.
Williams started working at the Primedia Group at its wholly owned business SterKinekor Theatres in 2012 and has held several positions within the group. Bon Hotels — which owns, manages and markets hotels throughout Africa, including in Ethiopia, Uganda, Namibia and South Africa — has made some senior appointments.
Charl van Wyk, pictured, has been named group commercial director.
Pieter van Eck will be the company’s new group operations director. De Villiers Heymans has been appointed general manager at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Menlyn. He joined the hotel group 10 years ago.
Heymans, who has food and beverage experience, has worked in various senior roles, and was most recently the deputy general manager of the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Melrose Arch.
