Wage talks gridlocked

Unions representi­ng bus drivers have threatened to intensify the strike following negotiatio­ns with employers on Thursday and Friday. Five major transport unions accused bus companies of not caring for their workers. Unions initially demanded a 12% increase, which has been revised to 9%. Bus companies offered a 7% wage increase, which was revised by a CCMA mediator, who proposed an 8% increase
