Dou­glas McLean has been ap­pointed chief fi­nan­cial of­fi­cer for con­struc­tion equip­ment sup­plier Rosond.

He is a char­tered ac­coun­tant and has worked in the UK, mainly for BP.

When he re­turned to South Africa, he worked briefly for Placer Dome (now Bar­rick Gold) be­fore mov­ing to Sand­vik in Zam­bia. Thabo Phokane has been ap­pointed chief fi­nan­cial of­fi­cer at fa­cil­i­ties man­age­ment com­pany Ser­vest.

He is a char­tered ac­coun­tant who stud­ied at the Univer­sity of Dur­ban Westville.

Af­ter com­plet­ing his ar­ti­cles at Deloitte & Touche, he held var­i­ous po­si­tions at Col­liers RMS and SARS. Novus Hold­ings, a print­ing and man­u­fac­tur­ing com­pany, has ap­pointed Tim Ste­wart, pic­tured near right, who was the MD of ITB Plas­tics, group ex­ec­u­tive: pack­ag­ing, while Trevor Davies, the for­mer op­er­a­tions di­rec­tor, will take over as the MD of ITB Plas­tics.

Davies has held the po­si­tion of op­er­a­tions di­rec­tor at ITB Plas­tics since 2007 and was re­spon­si­ble for var­i­ous func­tions, in­clud­ing pro­duc­tion, pro­cure­ment and main­te­nance.

“With more than 10 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence at ITB Plas­tics, Trevor was the wor­thy suc­ces­sor to take over from Tim. We look for­ward to their con­tin­ued con­tri­bu­tion,” said Keith Vroon, Novus Hold­ings Group CEO.
