There is a rubbish dump in the city of Palmerston North, New Zealand, officially called Mount Cleese, after British comedian John Cleese. The naming was the city’s tongue-in-cheek retaliatio­n to Cleese, who spent some time in the town on a comedy tour and later dubbed it the “suicide capital of New Zealand” because he said he’d had such a miserable time there.
