Bungled appointment haunts mayor

City of Tshwane mayor Solly Msimanga came under fire this week after it emerged that his chief of staff, Marietha Aucamp, was employed improperly. Aucamp resigned on Thursday following revelations that she did not have the qualifications for the R1.2-million-a-year job. Aucamp only has a matric certificate.
