Whether you are an individual who can’t cook, a housekeepe­r wanting to improve your skills or someone who has never cooked, the beginners’/housekeepe­rs’ course at The Pick n Pay Good Food Studio in Sandton is for you. It offers one-day classes spread out over eight weeks that will give you the foundation to food preparatio­n. To kick off, it covers the essentials like recipe measuremen­ts to mastering the art of boiling the perfect egg. Then it moves onto vegetables and sauces. Imagine the thrill of being able to whip up the perfect white sauce every time. Learn about vegetables and soups and master pizza and quiche making. Tackle the proteins with lessons on fish, chicken and meat. End with a lesson in basic baking and desserts. The course offers hands-on tuition — and everything you make you can take home.

When: New courses starts in June and run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays, spread out over eight weeks.
