City Lodge Hotel group has made several senior executive appointments.
Andrew Widegger has been appointed CEO, Alastair Dooley chief financial officer, and Lindiwe Sangweni-Siddo chief operating officer.
Widegger, a chartered accountant, has been the group’s financial director since 1994.
“I am truly excited by the challenge,” he said.
Dooley, who is also a CA, succeeds Widegger.
He was previously the group’s divisional director: finance, and a member of its executive committee.
He joined the group in 2009.
Sangweni-Siddo joined in 2015 as a divisional director: operations from the Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre, where she was CEO of the Birchwood Management Company.
She has a diploma in hotel management from Les Roches, Switzerland, and a BSc in hotel, restaurant and institutional management from Penn State University in the US.
Transnet National Ports Authority has appointed Nozipho Mdawe chief operating officer. She takes over from Phyllis Difeto in a role that was briefly held in an acting capacity by Moshe Motlohi, who has been appointed general manager: corporate affairs and external relations. Mdawe’s Transnet career spans 14 years.
