GRANNY LAUNCHES BATTLE OVER ‘GIN SQUASH’

-

An Australian woman is taking legal action over an incident in December, when airline Jetstar allegedly served her grandson alcohol on a flight from Brisbane to Bali. Debra Pettigrove says cabin crew accidentally mixed up an adult passenger’s double-ginand-squash with the 12-yearold’s plain squash after both drinks had been taken to the galley to keep them from spilling during turbulence. When the wrong drink was returned and he took a sip, he said, “Yuck.” He then allegedly sneezed “all the way to Denpassar”.

Pettigrove, who was flying business class, now has lawyers arguing that she “paid a premium price to have the best care for her grandson on his first international flight, and this has tarnished his experience”. Jetstar reportedly offered a $400 flight voucher as compensation. ● L S.
