Director at WH Auctioneers

● On Tuesday this week, commercial auctioneers WH will be hosting another massive live auction at its sprawling facility in Midrand.

Heavy-machinery and vehicle buyers from throughout southern Africa are keeping a keen eye on the inventory as it grows over the remaining days until the auction.

WH Auctioneers director Tim Varenzakis says the market for used equipment is heating up as more small and medium-size businesses bid for business. In addition, changes in government in Zimbabwe are also having a positive effect on business.

WH’s upcoming auction will feature five late-model cranes. Two cranes that will be sure to raise a high level of interest are the 2009 Liebherr LTM1055-3.2 all-terrain models.

“"It's been a long time since we've seen cranes like this,” said Varenzakis.

“This is the perfect opportunity for engineering and civils specialists as well as crane operators to get their hands on popular cranes they need for upcoming projects.”

This auction is a great way for construction companies, rental businesses and smaller contractors to add equipment to their fleets. With over 280 lots on offer, buyers will have a massive choice of late-model, wellmaintained units, including eight mechanical horses, 10 trailers, seven excavators, six dump trucks, three wheel loaders, three bulldozers, 10 agricultural tractors, 13 tlb backhoe loaders and much more. Massive brands are well represented, including Caterpillar, Mercedes Benz, JCB, Bell, Volvo and others.

In addition to the used equipment items, there will be more than 60 new pieces from a variety of brands. Twelve Dynapac rollers, 35 generators from 35 to 250kva, as well as three-to-seven ton forklifts, skid steers and mini loaders will be available.

Big equipment won’t be the only impressive late model lots hitting the WH auction block. It will also feature 27 latemodel low-kilometre Mercedes Benz passenger cars, with various classes on the floor. Buyers will be able to buy A, C, E, G and CL vehicles priced to sell significantly under book value.

On auction day all equipment items and trucks are sold in a sequence. After having found items of interest on the WH website, buyers can visit the Midrand site to personally inspect items on the viewing which is that day or prior to auction for added confidence.

Bids can be placed at the fast-paced auction in three ways: in person, online in real time, or by proxy. After the auction, successful bidders can collect their purchases almost immediately following payment. For further information, visit www.whauctions.com or contact them on 011 574 5700
