● Her husband Rameez is arrested in connection with the murder. He is denied bail
August 12 2016
● Family patriarch Feroz Patel is shot dead in Polokwane CBD
September 19 2017
● Mahejeen Patel, Rameez’s mother, is shot at her Nirvana home and later dies in hospital
October 2 2017
● Rameez is charged with the murder of his mother
October 11 & 12 2017
● Rameez appears in Polokwane Magistrate’s Court for a formal bail application in the case involving his mother’s murder. Bail is denied.
July 14 2018
● Razeen Patel, Rameez’s brother, is shot and wounded, allegedly by a friend
