A muzzle and a leash, please

-

The ANC’s firefighter-in-chief, Zizi Kodwa, has been doing an admirable job trying to limit the damage caused by the Luthuli House vuvuzela Pule Mabe, and showing him the right way to hold up a newspaper. After Mabe tried to extricate his boss Ace Magarani from the mess of his secret rendezvous with Baba ka Duduzane by saying journalists were spying on him, Comrade Zizi stepped up to explain that the role of a spokesperson is not to defend individuals. But it seemed Zizi had forgotten what he learnt in communication 101 when he tweeted: “Media and analysts should avoid running a parallel public trial based on the testimony of witness(s) [sic] at the state capture commission.” That is called muzzling the media, dear Zizi. It’s a pity you didn’t muzzle the ANC top dogs who were barking at SA’s banks on behalf of the Guptas.
