FRENCH ART’S ANCIENT ROOTS
Visitors admire replicas of palaeolithic cave art, believed to have been painted 17,000 years ago, at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Newtown, Johannesburg. The original paintings are in the Lascaux cave, near the village of Montignac in Dordogne, France.
