Ac­cord­ing to the con­sti­tu­tion of 1891, Brazil was of­fi­cially called the United States of Brazil, un­til the Brazil­ian Rev­o­lu­tion of 1930 in­stalled Getúlio Var­gas as pres­i­dent. Ef­fec­tively, what that means is that, had the rev­o­lu­tion never hap­pened, the world could have had both a USA and USB as na­tions.
