THE SMALLEST HOTEL EVER
The Eh’häusl in Amberg, Germany, is the smallest hotel in the world. Just 2.5m wide, it was built in 1728 in a tiny gap between two existing houses. The story goes that the hotel started out as a “marriage house“— a property that couples who wished to marry could buy in order to meet Bavarian marriage regulations, according to uniqhotels.com. More recently redecorated in period style — except for the flatscreen TV — the hotel has one bedroom, a bathroom in the attic, pictured, and a tiny living room. Rates from à240/night. So, not cheap, but certainly unique. ehehaeusl.de.
