Meet, greet and retreat

- Bheki Cele

Our men in blue have such little faith in the former minister of fish and trees, Bheki Cele, that they did not even bother to greet him in Westbury when he went to play top sheriff in the troubled neighbourhood.

Mr “Stomach In, Chest Out” got the cold shoulder when he spoke with the policemen and policewomen who have their hands full chasing after looters and rioters.

His “Good morning officers” was met with dead silence, until the gathered community saved his blushes by answering him with a rather subdued “Good morning minister”. Even the Westbury druglords Cele dared to come out and face the cops head-on must have been shaken.
