The In­sti­tute for Fu­tures Re­search at Stel­len­bosch Univer­sity has ap­pointed Dr Njeri Mwa­giru se­nior fu­tur­ist: Africa.

With a PhD in busi­ness ad­min­is­tra­tion, Mwa­giru has worked with a range of bod­ies, in­clud­ing higher-ed­u­ca­tion in­sti­tu­tions in Africa and abroad; busi­ness and pub­lic-sec­tor en­ti­ties in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and SA; and groups in­clud­ing Nepad and the UN. Rel­a­tiv Group has ap­pointed Si­jadu Mzo­zoy­ana CEO.

Mzo­zoy­ana is a found­ing mem­ber of the Young Pro­fes­sion­als As­so­ci­a­tion, which for­mu­lates strate­gies for young peo­ple to be seen, heard and em­ployed in SA.

Mzo­zoy­ana said his new role was three­fold: “I will help op­ti­mise the busi­ness’s bal­ance sheet; I will re­fine the strate­gic fo­cus of the busi­nesses within the group; and I will look to pro­vide an en­abling en­vi­ron­ment for our peo­ple to per­form at their ab­so­lute best.” Ash­bur­ton In­vest­ments, the as­set­man­age­ment arm of the FirstRand group, has ap­pointed Is­abella Mnisi chief in­vest­ment of­fi­cer of pri­vate mar­kets.

Mnisi, who joined Ash­bur­ton in 2014, was pre­vi­ously co-head of pri­vate mar­kets.

Mnisi also spent nine years at RMB, where she worked in var­i­ous di­vi­sions in­clud­ing credit anal­y­sis and debt cap­i­tal mar­kets.

She has an MCom and is a char­tered fi­nan­cial an­a­lyst char­ter­holder. Cum­mins South­ern Africa has ap­pointed Racheal Njoroge as MD.

She has been with Cum­mins for 12 years and has been a piv­otal mem­ber of the ex­ec­u­tive lead­er­ship team since 2017. Most re­cently, she served as op­er­a­tions direc­tor.

Njoroge said she in­tended to “con­tinue to grow our po­si­tion in the mar­ket­place and fur­ther en­hance the busi­ness per­for­mance dur­ing this ex­cit­ing time of growth on the African con­ti­nent. It is my vi­sion to add value, in­no­va­tion and ex­cel­lent propo­si­tions for our cus­tomers.”
