The Institute for Futures Research at Stellenbosch University has appointed Dr Njeri Mwagiru senior futurist: Africa.
With a PhD in business administration, Mwagiru has worked with a range of bodies, including higher-education institutions in Africa and abroad; business and public-sector entities in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and SA; and groups including Nepad and the UN. Relativ Group has appointed Sijadu Mzozoyana CEO.
Mzozoyana is a founding member of the Young Professionals Association, which formulates strategies for young people to be seen, heard and employed in SA.
Mzozoyana said his new role was threefold: “I will help optimise the business’s balance sheet; I will refine the strategic focus of the businesses within the group; and I will look to provide an enabling environment for our people to perform at their absolute best.” Ashburton Investments, the assetmanagement arm of the FirstRand group, has appointed Isabella Mnisi chief investment officer of private markets.
Mnisi, who joined Ashburton in 2014, was previously co-head of private markets.
Mnisi also spent nine years at RMB, where she worked in various divisions including credit analysis and debt capital markets.
She has an MCom and is a chartered financial analyst charterholder. Cummins Southern Africa has appointed Racheal Njoroge as MD.
She has been with Cummins for 12 years and has been a pivotal member of the executive leadership team since 2017. Most recently, she served as operations director.
Njoroge said she intended to “continue to grow our position in the marketplace and further enhance the business performance during this exciting time of growth on the African continent. It is my vision to add value, innovation and excellent propositions for our customers.”
