Financial services company Letshego Group has appointed Smit Crouse as its new group MD. He will be based at Letshego’s group headquarte­rs in Gaborone, Botswana.

Smit has more than 20 years of experience in the multinatio­nal, private and multilater­al sectors of finance, commerce and law. Eaton has appointed Luthando Makiwane as marketing director for Africa for the group’s electrical sector.

He has worked at various other multinatio­nal companies within the electrical and power sector, including as marketing manager, product marketing manager, sales engineer, applicatio­n specialist and in technical support tenures. Law firm Hogan Lovells has appointed Nkonzo Hlatshwayo as the new chair of its South African practice.

He takes over from Lavery Modise, whose term has come to an end.

Hlatshwayo has been with the firm for three years and has a thorough understand­ing of competitio­n law in SA and southern Africa. Infinidat, a software-centric data storage solutions company, has appointed Eugene Beauzec as head of solutions architectu­re for the South African division.

Beauzec has experience in data governance, data management and enterprise storage, as well as a deep understand­ing of the Infinidat suite of solutions.
