... the number of times a month, at least, that Disney estimates someone scatters the ashes of a loved one at one of its US theme parks — Disneyland in California, or Disney World in Florida.

Disney takes a strong stance against the practice, and says anyone caught bringing human remains onto its properties will be kicked out.

But, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, mourning guests still find ways to smuggle in ashes, creatively hiding them in things such as prescripti­on pill bottles, makeup compacts, and Ziploc bags.

Tossing them from rides — especially the Haunted Mansion ride — seems to be particular­ly popular.
