‘Voldemort’ jailed for intimidation

An insurance agent who took on the identity of “Lord Voldemort”, Harry Potter’s nemesis, and threatened to harm clients unless they paid him bitcoins, has been jailed in Singapore. Ye Lin Myint targeted clients who missed appointments or cancelled policies, according to court documents.

He was sentenced to two years and five months in jail this week after pleading guilty to criminal intimidation and harassment.
