UDM leader Bantu Holomisa unveiled his party’s election manifesto at a rally in Nelson Mandela Bay in the Eastern Cape. Among other things, it proposes a national indaba on the plight of the economy, which would be modelled on the Codesa process that guided the transition to democracy. Holomisa said a UDM government would create “sector-specific banks” to provide loans for blacks operating in areas such as textiles, IT, tourism, hospitality and agriculture.
