EVERYONE LOVES A BURGER OR DO THEY?

Who needs takeout when you can buy convenience in-store — readymade burger patties, frozen oven chips, BBQ sauce and ice cream – at a fraction of the cost of a takeaway meal? In the latest in the Sunday Times Taste & Tell series we ask a group of Bryanston High School teachers, hungry after a day in the classroom, to join us and rate the items from five retailers in a blind tasting. This is their verdict.

To ensure the process is free and fair, auditor Jade Craig oversees the tasting and collates the scores. Food expert Jenny Kay ensures fairness in the kitchen packaging removed and numbered, and cooked to package instructions.
