Supermarket fixtures sale can’t be missed
Equipment that is still in good nick will cheer small-business owners
● Bargains aplenty for food and beverage retailers will be available when Park Village Auctions (PVA) soon presents the entire contents of a prominent supermarket.
PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn says the assets on offer will appeal to retailers, especially those with bakery, butchery or deli interests.
Assorted equipment to be sold include stainless steel prep tables, multitier doublesided steel gondola shelving, multitier steel industrial shelving, walk-in fridge-freezers with shelving, multitier island food display fridges and double-sided island fridges and freezers.
There will also be a bun divider, a bread roller, a dough roller, a large dough mixer, sausage fillers, meat mincers, band saws, biltong dryers and smokers, and electronic scales on offer.
Checkout counters, multitier sweet stands and assorted office equipment will be the last lots to go under the hammer.
Augustyn says the assets stem from the relocation of an established supermarket franchise and are therefore in good working order.
“Bidders are in for a treat as auctions allow buyers to acquire quality equipment that would usually bloat capital expenditure budgets,” says Augustyn. “The items on offer promise a long lifespan, which will appeal to those who are in the market to replenish equipment or expand their retail space.”
The auction will be on site at Brightwater Commons, Republic Road, Randburg, on April 2 at 10.30am. Interested bidders can view the lots on April 1 from 10am to 3pm.
