● One of the last vacant sites available in sought-after Clifton on the Atlantic seaboard is one of more than 70 properties to come under the virtual hammer at BidX1 SA’s first online auction on April 10.

This first catalogue includes properties in prime locations as far afield as the Vaal

River, Midrand and Centurion to the Cape, Garden Route, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, says MC du Toit, CEO of auctions & sales at BidX1 SA.

“With sweeping views across Clifton and the ocean, this prime elevated 455m² site includes architectural plans available for the successful registered bidder.”

Other prized properties in the Western Cape are a four-bedroom, four-bathroom house in upmarket Benguela Cove Estate, a secure, private wine estate between Kleinmond and Hermanus.

In Sandbaai, a luxury home overlooking the sea in Hermanus is also expected to attract high interest, being ideal for use as a guesthouse. It includes six en-suite bedrooms and a one-bedroom flat.

In Somerset West a five-bedroom, fivebathroom home with one-bedroom garden cottage, braai area, patio and pool is another prime property coming under the virtual hammer. It is in an equestrian estate within easy reach of a range of shops, restaurants and other amenities.

In the scenic Balgowan area of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, two primelocation adjoining sites provide potentially lucrative investment opportunities.

Close to some of SA’s best private schools such as Hilton, Michaelhouse and St Anne’s and to acclaimed Bosch Hoek Golf Club, the first site includes an entire eco-estate.

This comprises 44.33ha and is complete with a four en-suite bedroom designer home plus eight fully-serviced stands ready to build and overlooking two freshwater dams.

The adjoining 17ha, which is zoned agricultural and comprises a private indigenous forest, is also up for sale.
