A second chance to really get trucking

-

● Hot on the heels of a successful July auction, Park Village Auctions (PVA) has secured yet another collection of quality used commercial vehicles.

PVA’s head of asset recovery, LeRoy Augustyn, says that another fleet of sidetipper trailers is set to steal the show.

“We are pleased to bring to market more Afrit 40 cube side-tipper link trailers.” Augustyn explains that July’s auction also showcased a fleet of side-tippers, stemming from a large liquidation matter in the auction house’s care, which sold in record time.

In addition to the Afrit side-tippers, trailer stock to be sold includes SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf and Motor Trail side-tipper, flat-deck link and drop-side link trailers.

An SA Truck Bodies tri-axle refrigerated trailer will also be on the block.

Under the banner of rigid trucks and truck tractors, PVA will auction assets from manufacturers such as Fuso, International, Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, MAN, Scania, Iveco, Renault, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Toyota Dyna, Hino and Tata.

Notable earthmoving, agricultural and commercial assets to be sold include a Bell B40D articulated dump truck, a Caterpillar 416D backhoe loader, skidsteer and backhoe loaders, a fleet of Nissan NP300 LDVs, and an assortment of forklifts.

Augustyn believes the auction will attract a broad spectrum of buyers who may wish to take advantage of the lowered interest rate.

“There aren’t many signs of new vehicle costs improving in the near future, so fleet managers will most likely take advantage of the reprieve that the Reserve Bank has granted to replenish critical assets.”

PVA’s auction will start at 10.30am on Thursday August 29 at its truck yard at gate 2 of the Nasrec Showgrounds.

Viewing will take place on Wednesday from 9am-4pm.
