Ace’s eight lives

Elias Sekgobelo Magashule was born in 1959 in Tumahole, Parys, in the Free State. His biography on the ANC’s website states that he was actively involved in drama, soccer and boxing while at school. On the soccer field he played midfield in the No 8 jersey, and it was reportedly his prowess on the soccer field that earned him the nickname “Ace”
