In its final season Armando Iannucci’s hilarious and biting satire of the absurdities of US politics says a fond farewell to Vice President Selena Myers (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and her ragtag bunch of idiot advisers. It may have slumped a bit since Iannucci left the show, but Veep still manages to deliver some of the most trenchant and cringeworthy comedy on television and it will be sorely missed.
