Ali tipped to rule Warhol picture bids

Andy Warhol portraits of Muhammad Ali, Chris Evert and other star athletes from the 1970s will be sold at auction in November.

Pele and Jack Nicklaus are also in the group of 10 silkscreen paintings commissioned by collector Richard Weisman that will be offered at Christie’s postwar and contemporary art auctions in New York.

Ali is expected to be the top lot with an estimated value of $4m-$6m (R58mR88m).
