● Cell C has appointed board member Joe Mthimunye as its new chair.

Mthimunye, a chartered accountant, is a co-founder and former partner of Gobodo Incorporat­ed, a forerunner of SNG Grant Thornton. He is currently executive chair of aloeCap and an independen­t nonexecuti­ve director on the Blue Label Telecoms board.

He also serves on the board of directors of various unlisted companies in which aloeCap is invested.

● Stonehage Fleming has appointed Fred Robertson to the Stonehage Fleming family as a nonexecuti­ve board member.

“Fred’s distinguis­hed business career makes him a valuable addition to our boards in SA. His extensive experience in the business community here and his pragmatic insights will contribute significan­tly to the further developmen­t of our service offering and the future growth of our firm,” said Stonehage Fleming SA CEO Johan van Zyl.

● Calvin Sefala has been appointed CEO of Urban Brew Studios (UBS). He has been the acting CEO for the past year.

Sefala has a financial and administra­tive background.
