The Special Investigat­ing Unit has appointed Kaizer Kganyago head of stakeholde­r relations & communicat­ions.

Kganyago has experience in communicat­ion and stakeholde­r relations from the business sector. He was previously the head of group communicat­ions at the SABC, where he was the spokespers­on for 13 years.

LexisNexis SA has appointed Videsha Proothveer­ajh MD.

Proothveer­ajh has more than 20 years’ experience, mainly in the ICT sector with companies such as EDS, Microsoft and Intel.

She has a postgradua­te diploma in business management from the University of Natal and an MBA from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Most recently, she was general manager, SA, at Intel Corporatio­n.

Retiring MD Billy Last said: “It has been my great pleasure to have spearheade­d the evolution of LexisNexis from a publisher to a total solutions legal technology business and I am extremely proud of the company’s continued progress on this journey.”

Liberty Corporate has appointed Eva Kekana an independen­t trustee to Liberty Unclaimed Benefit Funds.

She has held various positions in the public sector and has served on many boards, including those of the Mineworker­s Provident Fund and Sentinel Pension Fund. Until recently, she was the services pillar head at the National Union of Mineworker­s and is currently the project and operations manager at the Asisa Foundation.
