Textile plant up tomorrow
● The contents of a polyester textile manufacturing plant will soon be on sale.
LeRoy Augustyn of Park Village Auctions said the sale represented a “favourable opportunity” for textile manufactures to expand their operations.
“The plant produces textiles using recycled polyester products such as water bottles,” he said.
“With increasing pressure from government and end-users on manufacturers to reduce their carbon footprint, the plant presents an ideal way to incorporate ‘green’ solutions and products to their mix.”
The assets are from the liquidation of a 100% polyester “Mink” blanket manufacturer.
The contents will sold as one lot. Included are a 3.2m vertical panel press; a 4m cloth inspection machine; artificial circular knitting machines; a cloth-cutting machine from Wuxy Jinlong; three automated clothbrushing machines; eight smaller clothbrushing machines; four single-unit clothbrushing machines from Lianyungang Runian; a 2005 ZGL automatic dualfunction cloth-brushing machine; a ZGL colouring line; a 4m cloth inspecting machine; a 3.2m cloth inspecting machine; a collecting and feeder line; a spreader frame; a steaming tunnel; six Kingstar industrial overlockers; two dust extractor rooms; a water plant; a boiler house; assorted bales; off-cut materials; and office furniture.
The auction is set to start at 11am tomorrow at 530 Nicholson Drive, Denver, Johannesburg.
