Complete blanket factory going

● Park Village Auctions will soon bring to market the entire contents of a blanket manufactur­ing concern in liquidatio­n.

That’s the word from PVA’s Werner Burger, who explains that the assets on offer represent a favourable opportunit­y for existing or start-up textile manufactur­es to “hit the ground running”.

Notable lots include a large assortment of Wuxy Jinglong machinery, namely numerous artificial circular knitting machines and a cloth-cutting machine.

From Lianyungan­g Runian, three automated cloth-brushing machines, eight automated “smaller type” cloth-brushing machines, and four automated “single unit” cloth-brushing machines.

The sale further includes a 3.2m vertical panel press, a 4m cloth inspection machine, a 3.2m cloth inspection machine, a 2005 ZGL automated “dual function” cloth-brushing machine and a ZGL colouring line, six Kingstar industrial overlocker­s, two dust extractor rooms, a “collecting and feeder” line, a spreader frame, a steaming tunnel, a water plant, a boiler house, a washer line and assorted office furniture and other items.

The plant, at 530 Nicholson Drive, Denver, Johannesbu­rg, is convenient­ly located close to the M2 Francois Oberholzer freeway and Geldenhuys interchang­e, which provides access to the N3 highway.

The auction will take place on site on Tuesday at 11am. A viewing will be held the day before, from 9am to 4pm.
