Postcards from the Future
WHERE WILL YOU GO?
This week’s picture comes from Kings Walden Garden Manor in Tzaneen, Limpopo. With aboveaverage rainfall in summer and moderate temperatures year-round, the climate is ideal for tropical and subtropical plants to flourish. This boutique hotel is loved for its formal gardens, which were first planted in the 1930s against the backdrop of the Northern Drakensberg mountains. This ornamental lake is their centrepiece. Called the Bibighar, it takes its name from the gardens featured in Paul Scott’s Raj Quartet novels, about the final days of British India. Visit kingswalden.co.za.
Tourism stakeholders are invited to submit a “postcard” image (at least 500KB) with an interesting titbit to postcards@sundaytimes.co.za.
