Tricolt Property Development broke ground at one of Joburg’s most exciting residential developments, Tree Tops Houghton. Earthworks officially started in

February this year, and it could finally be celebrated earlier this month.

“I think it’s a fantastic achievement to get a project of this scale and nature off the ground, especially during these strange and troubled times. Fortunately for us, the market has been supporting us tremendously,” says Tim Kloeck, CEO of Tricolt and developer of Tree Tops. “Coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic, my business partner David Nagle said to me that we should aim to have three new projects off the ground before the end of October. This obviously seemed like an insurmountable task while we were all locked down at home, but we decided to up our marketing spend, be a little more strategic in terms of who we were marketing to, and now we’re proud to be handing over the 131 Tree Tops apartments to the appointed construction company, Trencon,” he says.

Located at the intersection of Rosebank and Houghton, Tree Tops Houghton is the latest apartment development by Tricolt, following their successes at The Houghton Apartments, Ellipse Waterfall, and Brookfield at Royal located at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club.

“At Tree Tops, as with every Tricolt product, the quality and level of finish is second to none. We only use the best in our developments, and you can easily see yourself living here. We spend time on our dimensions to make sure we get the sizes of the rooms right to ensure comfortable spaces throughout,” continues Kloeck.

In addition to the luxurious apartments on offer, the Tree Tops Houghton precinct will also feature some incredible amenities, which include a Fitzone gym, lap pool, braai area, manicured gardens, club house, sky bar and state of the art security. This appealing value proposition, coupled with the incredible location and the record low interest rate, has seen sales at the development exceed all expectations.

“There has been significant interest in the larger units, especially from people looking to downscale from homes in the area and, tellingly, a large number of buyers have indicated that they are buying to live in rather than to rent out, signifying the value of the offering at Tree Tops,” adds Andrew Morris, director at Time Works Projects and project manager of Tree Tops.
