● Marcia Mayaba has been appointed CEO of Motor Retail at Barloworld.

She has an advanced certificat­e in road transport (passenger) from the University of Johannesbu­rg and completed a management developmen­t programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Mayaba has 23 years’ experience in the motor retail industry. In 2019, she became franchise executive for Ford and Mazda at Barloworld. In July she was appointed vice-president of National Automobile Dealers Associatio­n.

● Apex BI, a provider of technology expense management software, has appointed Brett Thomas chief sales and marketing officer.

Apex BI MD Neil Buckley said: “We have appointed Brett Thomas, a well-known 20year-plus ICT veteran, with global experience in both communicat­ions and digital market segments. Brett … will be focused on managing and driving sales.”

Thomas said: “I am excited to join a team where dynamic strategy and sales agility are indelibly etched into the culture.”

● Global consultanc­y Partners in Performanc­e has appointed Innocent Dutiro as a director and to lead the financial services practice in Africa.

He has more than 30 years of industry and consulting experience, having held various executive positions in the financial services sector. He also has experience working with retail and corporate banks and life insurance institutio­ns in Southern Africa.

He was previously group CEO of Adcorp Holdings and led the group through the first phase of a strategic turnaround.
