The road to redemption
April 15 v Baroka FC
This is the team that denied Chiefs the league title in the last 30 minutes of last season. Baroka held Chiefs to a 1-1 draw again in the first round.
April 21 v Cape Town City
Chiefs won 2-1 away to City in the first round. With City fighting for the top 8, it could be a hard match to win.
April 25 v Sundowns
It’s a grudge match for Chiefs after the Brazilians humiliated them 3-0 at home in the first match of the season.
April 28 v Chippa United
Amakhosi usually win over Chippa and they should do the double over Chilli Boys, whom they beat 1-0 in the first round.
May 2 v Bloem Celtic
This could be a tricky match away for Chiefs against a Celtic side that is also fighting to survive. It’s one of those that can go either way.
May 12 v Swallows FC
It will be a challenging fixture as Swallows have already beaten Chiefs in the league this season.
May 18 v Black Leopards
Leopards are fighting for their lives and facing them in Thohoyandou could prove difficult for Chiefs.
May26: v Golden Arrows
Arrows are in top form and should fancy a rare away win against Chiefs after the first clash ended 2-2.
May 29 v TS Galaxy
Chiefs struggled against Galaxy, drawing the match 0-0 in the first round. Galaxy are now looking good under Owen da Gama.
Date tbc: v Tshakhuma FC
Chiefs comfortably won 3-0 at home in January. It may not be easy in Thohoyandou against another Limpopo side fighting relegation.
