On why it would not be just and equitable to allow the parties to a corrupt contract to benefit from it
Simply declaring [certain contracts] to be unlawful and setting them aside in these circumstances would not be just and equitable … It would send the message that malfeasance pays. It would also not be effective in deterring others from engaging in such conduct.
