● Yota Baron has been appointed CFO for Ford SA; she takes over from Joseph Verga, who is moving back to the US. Baron, who was previously CFO for direct markets in the Ford Internatio­nal Markets Group, has a BComm from the University of Pretoria. She has been with Ford for 31 years, with her focus primarily on emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East & Africa regions.

Ford SA MD Neale Hill said: “Yota’s vast global experience will further enhance our drive to reinvigora­te our business.”

● The Steel and Engineerin­g Industries Federation of Southern Africa (Seifsa) has appointed Lucio Trentini, the current operations director, CEO. He has a BA in economics and industrial psychology, a postgradua­te diploma in management and an expert negotiator certificat­e.

Trentini has been employed at Seifsa since 1990 and over the past two decades has been part of the leadership of the organisati­on, first as industrial relations manager and later as operations director.

● SAP Africa has appointed Tracy Bolton as COO for the Africa region.

She has held various leadership positions in the company and previously worked at Microsoft SA. She has been an advisory board member for Africa at the Chief Marketing Officer Council.

SAP SA MD Cathy Smith said: “Tracy has demonstrab­le success in leading our teams as they execute against strategic plans to deliver tangible customer outcomes. Her experience and knowledge will be invaluable as she takes on her new responsibi­lities.”
