“It’s an ‘athleisure’ retailer listed in London and there are two threats to deal with — Brexit and brand owners like Nike and Adidas going directly to the consumer. The response was to make a number of acquisitions in Europe and the US and that has been very successful … [this week] they announced their first-off profits — significantly above expectations. The US business is growing very nicely, the European business is growing very nicely, the UK business is holding up, and they are now big enough to be an important supplier or retailer of these global brands … I think JD Sports Fashion is well positioned.”
