Stanlib has appointed Barri Maggott, the former CEO of Curo Fund Services, COO.
Maggott, who trained as a chartered accountant, has more than 10 years’ experience in the investment sector covering strategy, technology and risk management. Before Curo, he worked for the auditor-general’s office and Momentum Investments.
African Bank has appointed Unathi Mtya group chief information officer; she joins it from Grindrod Bank, where she was chief technology officer.
Mtya has a BSc from the University of Fort Hare, a professional certificate in CIO practice from Wits University and an MSc in technology management from Columbia University.
Netstar, the vehiclerecovery and fleet-intelligence company, has appointed Clifford de Wit chief technology officer.
He is set to take over from Francois Stols, who is retiring.
De Wit, who joins Netstar from software company Crayon, has an electrical engineering degree from Wits University.
Home improvement and building materials company Builders has appointed
Herman Venter vicepresident.
Venter has more than 18 years’ retail experience and has worked in IT, operations, finance and merchandise.
He has a BCom honours and an MBA from Wits Business School.
