Altron has appointed Werner Kapp as group CEO. He takes over from interim group CEO Stewart van Graan, who returns to his role of chair of the board.

Kapp joins from Dimension Data, where he has been for 22 years in various roles, including CEO for Middle East and Africa, COO for Middle East and Africa and regional executive. He has a law degree from Nelson Mandela University and a master’s in business leadership from Unisa School of Business.

MTN has appointed Christian Bombrun as CEO: digital platforms. He takes over from Minnie Harris.

Bombrun joins MTN from Emmanuel Macron’s presidenti­al campaign in

France, where he was head of communicat­ion and digital. Before that he spent eight years at Orange, as director of products and services for the French market.

He has also been deputy MD at M6 Web (the online and digital division of M6 Group) .

Volkswagen Group SA has appointed Neeraj Kessery as CEO of the VW BBBEE Initiative­s Trust. He takes over from Sipha Ndawonde, who will remain a trustee of the organisati­on.

Kessery, who has a BSc in mechanical engineerin­g, started his career in the automotive sector 24 years ago at a Mercedes-Benz dealership, after which he joined BMW.

He later moved to the Automotive Industry Developmen­t Centre.

Kagan Keklik has been appointed as GM for SA and country lead at pharmaceut­ical and health-care company Sanofi.

Keklik has more than 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceut­ical sector, and has worked in various capacities, including managing products and leading teams in the Middle East, Eurasia and South Asia.

He said: “SA is considered the gateway to the African continent and is an important market for the Sanofi Group.”
