The Rehearsal Showmax

This is the strangest, smartest and singularly most inventive thing you’ll see on TV this year. Nathan Fielder has convinced the good people at HBO to spend a lot of money and time allowing him to cook up a dark-humoured, often unbearably cringey but fascinating experiment in which he gives ordinary people the chance to rehearse for situations in their lives before they happen. Starts streaming tomorrow.

Jungle Prime Video

An intriguing and ambitious crime drama set in a Blade Runner-style London of the future, it’s the story of a young man caught up in the dark world of drugs and crime and his struggle to escape. Using the device of having its characters deliver much of their dialogue in the form of drill music raps, it stars several big names from the UK drill music scene.

Idris Elba narrates this sprawling docuseries which travels the globe to investigate humankind’s obsession with myriad forms of play and the risks we’re willing to take and the lengths we’re willing to go in pursuit of them.
