VML South Africa has appointed Jarred Cinman as CEO and Diane Wilson as COO.

Cinman started and led South Africa’s first digital agency in the 1990s, with Wilson joining shortly thereafter. Their 27-year partnershi­p has seen them co-found and lead Cambrient and then Native, which ultimately became VMLY&R South Africa. They have been co-CEOs of this business for the past five years.

Under Wilson and Cinman’s leadership, VMLY&R South Africa won big accounts, such as Vodacom, and numerous awards locally and internatio­nally.

Cinman will report to Ewen Sturgeon, CEO of VML Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Sturgeon said: “I am absolutely delighted that Jarred and Di will be leading the VML brand in South Africa.”

Renewable energy developer and strategic equity investor Mulilo Energy Holdings has appointed Jan Fourie as CEO. He replaces Johnny Cullum, who steps down in May. Cullum will continue to serve on the board and retains his shareholdi­ng in the company. Fourie, who is a former executive vice-president of Scatec ASA, said: “I am thrilled to join Mulilo as CEO at this pivotal moment in its and South Africa’s energy history.”

Cullum said: “I have absolute confidence in Jan’s ability to lead the company as it strives to fulfil its ambitious five-year growth target of 5GW of renewables.”

Dawie Mullins has officially assumed the role of director of global sales for Africa at Minor Hotels.

Mullins joined the hospitalit­y industry in 2005 after completing a diploma at Tshwane University of Technology. He has worked at various companies, including Virgin Limited Edition, Enterprise­s at the University of Pretoria, Emerald Resort & Casino, Faircity Hotels and Marriott Internatio­nal.

He said his new role was perfectly aligned with his values and allowed him to contribute to a team dedicated to delivering exceptiona­l experience­s to guests worldwide.
