● Cyber resilience company Commvault has appointed Darren Thomson field chief technology officer for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI).

He has more than 30 years’ experience in the technology sector, including technical and leadership skills, and experience in managing global teams. He joins from One Identity. Before that he was at CyberCube and Lloyds of London.

“We are thrilled to have Darren as part of the EMEAI team and his extensive experience will be extremely valuable in our continued success in this region,” said Richard Gadd, senior vice-president and general manager of EMEAI.

Thomson said he is “excited to join a company that is redefining modern data protection and putting cyber resilience first”.

● VML South Africa has appointed Unati Moalusi chief people officer. Moalusi held the same position at Wunderman Thompson and spent seven years at Hollard, where she was senior human resources business partner.

She has a master’s degree in counsellin­g psychology, with a specialisa­tion in industrial and organisati­onal psychology, and is a qualified consciousn­ess coach.

VML CEO Jarred Cinman said: “Unati has spent the past five years building culture and programmes within Wunderman Thompson, many of which have redefined the organisati­on. She brings this experience to the role, offering a combinatio­n of know-how and mindset. The job to be done is nothing less than building the best environmen­t and workplace for our people.”

● Foord Asset Management has appointed Nancy Hossack multiple-counsellor portfolio manager on medium- and highequity South African multi-asset portfolios, including the Foord Conservati­ve and Foord Balanced unit trust funds.

Hossack joined Foord as an equity analyst from Investec Asset Management in 2015. Over her career she has covered various JSE sectors as an analyst.

She was appointed portfolio manager on South African equity mandates in 2021 and has built a compelling performanc­e record in that asset class. Hossack has been running internal multi-asset model portfolios since 2019.
