SABC progress report

The SABC’s new board, led by chairwoman Khanyisile Kweyama, will appear before parliament’s communications portfolio committee on Tuesday to report back on the progress of the turnaround it is overseeing. This includes the removal of former chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng and finance chief James Aguma. The SABC has also canned the 90% local content policy introduced by Motsoeneng, which cost the SABC more than R200-million in advertising revenue.
