Generic and Biosimilar Medicines of Southern Africa has appointed Lorraine Keyser as its new chair, the first woman to be elected chair of the organisation since its inception 41 years ago.
Keyser, who is the country manager for global generics manufacturer Dr Reddy’s, brings more than 20 years of experience to the job.
Ashburton Investments, the new generation investment management business of the FirstRand Group, has appointed Tony Wilshin MD of its international business, headquartered in Jersey.
He will be responsible for strategic management and will drive growth of the business with a focus on enhancing customer experience. Beachcomber Tours South Africa has appointed two longtime senior staff members, operations manager Silvana Polo and national sales and marketing manager Joanne Visagie, to its board.
Polo joined Beachcomber Tours in 1988.
Visagie joined the company in 1991 with a BCom degree from the University of Pretoria.
In 1993, she was appointed national sales manager and, at one time, was also sales and marketing manager for Absolute Tours.
When Beachcomber Tours reconsolidated, Visagie followed and was appointed national sales and marketing manager. She said her 27 years with the company has been an exceptional experience.
