● On Thursday WH Auctions Cape will dispose of the remaining assets of NMC (Pty) Ltd and Mokwena Surfacing (Pty) Ltd, which have both closed their doors, as instructed by the joint liquidators.

The assets will go under the hammer at WH Auctions Cape’s monthly vehicle and plant auction, which will be held at its Epping 2 premises.

Martin Dibowitz, who heads the auction company’s Cape operation, says the high-value assets on offer will include late-model Mercedes-Benz trucks, lowbed trailers, excavators, water tankers and a Caterpillar road recycler.

Other items available will include containers and various smalls.

“On the plant side we will have a selection of generators and small plant and equipment, skidsteer loaders, front-end loaders and forklifts on offer,” he says.

“The vehicles to be auctioned will include a large number of repossessed and fleet units from various financial institutions.

“The list includes a variety of latemodel Mercedes-Benz executive vehicles, including A Class, B Class, C Class, E Class, MLs, CLAs and GLAs.

“In addition, a selection of accidentdamaged and non-running repossessed vehicles from Wesbank will be sold,” Dibowitz says.

The inventory list for the auction is being updated daily, says Dibowitz, who suggests that potential buyers visit www.whauctions.com regularly to keep abreast of the latest offerings.

The auction assets may also be viewed at WH Auctions Cape’s premises at WH Park, 17 Dacres Avenue, Epping 2 on Wednesday between 8.30am and 4.30pm.

“Our staff will be on hand at our yard to assist buyers with all the relevant queries,” he says.

The auction will be held at the same venue at 10.30am the following day.

He adds that WH Auctions offers a webcast facility that allows buyers who are unable to attend the auction in person to bid in real time via their PC, mobile phone or tablet.
